Hi folks: I am going to go to the ALD session this year and I have been encouraged to provide some abstracts for the meeting.

I was wondering what you think I should do. What do you like most?

One thing with the ALD is that you only get 12 or 17 minutes with the lecture and they encourage all cases to be in case presentation format.

I was thinking of providing a session on

Extreme Magnification and the Erbium laser: clinical guidelines for usage using the D.O.M.

it would cover about 15-20 tips that I have learned from people here on the web and what I have discovered with the laser to help speed up the learning curve.

In addition I would like to offer a 2 hour participation course on lasers and the operating microscope with hands on with different laser companies and 20 microscopes both hard and soft tissue.

Do you think that would be interesting.

    Hi Glen,

That would be amazing. At the recent Muskoka conference, many of the particpants had lasers and have never used the laser with the DOM. I think that this would be helpful…plus you’re the man when it comes to lasers and DOMs.

    Hi Glenn,

There’s nothing like hands-on courses. I think that will be very popular for scope non-users, new users, and even existing users. One can always learn more regardless of level of experience.

    Glenn,
Participations on your proposed hands-on will be overwhelming.
You may have to repeat the hands-on throughout the ALD meeting.
    Reserve me a place please!!
