How do you sterilise your laser tips?

    Thanks

We clean any debris off the tip with alcohol gauze then place in a chemiclave. You just have to be careful the tips don’t get banged around or touched. A couple of perforated metal boxes came with our Waterlase and we use them to place the tips inside for sterilization(prevents any damage).

    Al -thanks for replying.
I just had my Waterlase delivered to me yesturday hence I am still not too hot on the procedure,
but can the tips go in the autoclave at the normal cycle?

Also, on average how long does each tip last, and how many tips do you recomend to keep in standby?
    Thanks

    Mickey:

The tips will do fine in the autoclave.

I keep at least three tips(G6) rotating and estimate they work effectively for 36 to 48 procedures per tip.

I use DElight since 1 1/2 year and we use self seal sterilization pouch 2 1/4 X 4 inches after each use. We place them into statim with a note in the front of the cassette for a special attention in the sterilisation area.
We broke no more tip since that time
