whitertthSpectatoranyone know a price?
spider24SpectatorIn Germany they are offering for 10.000 EUR. Heard some rumours about thermal problems but i have not tested it until now.

HubertSpectatorI have been fortunate to test-drive the SIROLaser for a couple of weeks and it is a very nice, small-footprint piece of equipment. I have not found any thermal problems, even while doing full mouth pocket decontamination, being existent. Apparently, as they do not yet (!) have FDA approval, they can not publish widely (as a matter of fact an article I wrote about the SIROLaser was censored by 1/4 before it would be legal to be published). This week there will be the “kick-off” event in Germany for the trainers and you bet they will be going public in the US as soon as they will get FDA approval.
whitertthSpectatorSounds interesting, Hubert…keep us informed
dkimmelSpectatorHubert,
Thanks for the update…
whitertthSpectatorany new info on this product Hubert?
cadavisSpectatorI’ve recieved the Sirolaser and will be getting the in-office training this Thursday. If anyone else has used this laser and can give me some tips on what they’ve been able to do with it, I’d be glad to hear it.

cadavisSpectatorI’ve completed the training on the Sirolaser and I have to say I”m impressed with it. It’s extremely easy to use. I did an extraction yesterday on an older patient that is on meds whiich make him a heavy bleeder. I didn’t take him off the meds this time. I used the diode to create hemostasis and it worked great. I also completed a labial frenectomy on a youg girl with a large diastema. The diode cut fast and smooth. Great result. I have a post op shot of it and will be taking one and two week followup shots which I’ll try to post later. I’m not sure how to transfer our Sony Digidoc shots out of her charting and into this forum though.

Chris DavisChris, if your digidoc shots are on your computer you can use the following program –Screen Hunter to capture them. Look forward to seeing the pics.
cadavisSpectatorThanks Ron,
As soon as I get the followup shots, I’ll post them. I know this is old hat for most of you, but bear with me while I learn this stuff.
SwpmnSpectatorChris,
Is the handpiece easy to use? How do you angle the fiber? How is the laser activated, is there a button on the handpiece or a foot pedal?
Thanks,
Al
