this is a 18 mo boy whose mother said he was having a hard time eating. bilateral eruption cysts. i made elyptical incision with erbium laser 30hz and 50mJ, dry.

the post op is a week out. the little guy did great. what an easy procedure!

i hope these pictures post. if not, i apologize. i’m still trying to figure my way around this site. any helpful hints would be appreciated.

Cool case and never thought of doing this one. Was the child cooperative. Wow what a nice result and you really did great.

Dave – beautiful application of lasers!!!! Man, what a time to be a dentist, huh?! I mean, if you didn’t have an Er laser, what other options would you have? Not any that Mom or the baby boy are going to appreciate. Great service to this young guy!

the child was reasonably cooperative, really cooperative. realistically, i could have done this on any toddler even with marginal cooperation because the procedure was so fast.

the nice thing is my only other real option was scapel, like i’ve done in the past–with great hesitation.

thanks for the photo help. now that i think i have it figured out, i hope to post several more cases and more regularly. i love this forum.
