mzieglerSpectatorI am a dentist practicing in Dubai, UAE and the only one using the laser outside of America. I have some patients with the pigmentation of the gums and their question is, if it is possible to remove or reduce pigmentation with laser.
Thanks to all,

cadavisSpectatorThe ErYag is effective at removing pigmentation. I have been treating a friend with a dark tattoo. She had been to a plastic surgeon for 6-7 visits. Each time, the laser treatment resulted in swelling, pain, bleeding, draining. Very messy. She obtained NO results after all that time. The tattoo didn’t get any lighter.
We have used the ErYag (300-400mj and 10Hz) and after three treatments, the tattoo is almost gone. She didn’t get anywhere near the negative post-op problems that she had at the surgeons office.
webpiterSpectatorHaving natural pink color gums is very important for good smile. Smile looks beautiful if one has beautiful teeth with natural looking pink gums. But that is not always possible. Generally the gums color is same as the skin color. The people from the west are fair and their gum color is also pink mostly. Dark gums are mostly seen in dark skinned people. The gum discoloration may be present in patches. The extent of gum discoloration and the intensity is different for different individuals. Dark pigmented gums don’t mean that they are unhealthy and are not an indication of a disease.
