Glenn van AsSpectatorHi folks: here is a case where I wanted to band a lower 2nd molar and was patiently waiting for the tooth to erupt.
Finally, impatient, I used the Argon laser which will cause less bleeding than the erbium. A diode or NdYag could also be used to help it out.
1 Watt continous wave with some anesthetic and then the tissue was reflected enough to get the band on.
Electrosurg can work but causes 5X the energy dissapation to surrounding tissue.

SwpmnSpectatorCool use of your argon. Show us the healed post op later on if you get a chance.
Great new signature photo!!!! Makes you look a lot younger than your old one with the scope, ha ha ha!!!
Al
Glenn van AsSpectatorHi Al: thanks for the kind words, and my photo has to be in the signature now for good. Ron did it!!
Thanks Ron.

Glenn
2thlaserSpectatorOk, Now Glenn, MY PICTURE outdoes YOURS! Hardly! I got back in the saddle again today, it was great. I did a couple of crown lengthenings, one on a case that was similar to yours in DT today. Tooth #4 though. I was so busy, I had no time to photograph it. If I had my scope….they still haven’t contacted me, are they that slow? Just wondering. I do like the new pic Glenn. Don’t let Al start something here!!! 😉
Mark
Glenn van AsSpectatorHi Mark…………I read your post in the laser forum and was going to ask you whom you talked to in your area.
Global isnt really that slow, but let me know about who was going to bring the demo in and I will lean on the powers that be.
Got some cool stuff today from Gary Carr who is the grandfather of microscopy , a video on training your staff (very good and frightening at the end to see 1996 as the date), and some digital imaging stuff, like some awesome mirrors which reflect 40% more light and also some database imaging stuff to store files……..very cool
Let me know who in Global you talked to , what you are looking for (its a demo scope right?) and I will get some action for you going.
The scopes when you order them do take 6 weeks to get or so, they build them stock once you order it.
Hope I can help you either email me or give me a call at work at 604 985 1232
Glenn
This was sent to you by email too mark.
