Yes folks I did get some grief over the color of the porcelain, the fact the laterals were done with a gingivectomy, the immediate post op pics didnt do justice to the case.

I was pleased with the result but some others werent as pleased. Lucky the patient was.

Thanks for the kind words Mark, kenneth and Rob

PS its nice now because I am starting to see some of the long term follow ups to some of the stuff I have done 2-3 years ago.

Most of it looks pretty good, some is average but thats how we learn huh.

    Glenn,
Why did you choose glass ionomer as the cement rather than something like Cement it or Variolink light cured. How much opaque did the lab use? I like the results, I just have never used glass ionomer as a cement on anything. I do use RMGI on all gold and PFG’s.
    Thank you.

Hi Alan: if I have lots of tooth structure and the preps are not in enamel ( these were in cementum and dentin) in many areas , I will choose GI.

IT is easier to cement these with GI I must admit and I do like the fluoride. In addition I wasnt worried about them coming loose.

GOod point though and I dont have any qualms about using Variolink, just didnt do it.

I know some guys bond everything in. I rarely bond the Empress 2 or Procera crowns (heck can you even bond Procera into place??)

Great question and I think there will be a variety of answers.

    You got me thinking.

    Glenn
