dkimmelSpectatorIf your going to the ALD in New Orleans– I hope you already have a place to stay. The town is filling up fast. I don’t know what else is going on that weekend but the hotels are filling up. The hotel for the meeting is full. There are still rooms near by but don’t wait too much longer.
drnewittSpectatorAccording to our hotel there is some Jazz festival going on.
JanetCenturySpectatorHave fun everyone! I’ll miss being there this year – but I’m doing the Periolase Boot Camp in April and that’s enough! (But I really DO like saying that).
Have a great time!
dkimmelSpectatorSure just rub it in!!!!!!
bigtoothSpectatorWhat is the dif between WCLI and ALD. I think I already know. Does Biolase own WCLI? Maybe this is a dumb question.

ALD has its own agenda, but welcomes any and all to participate.

Glenn van AsSpectatorWelcome Bigtooth and on this forum there are no dumb questions. I for one would love to attend the WCLI one year but only those owning a Biolase machine need apply. I think that alot of the procedures being done by clinicians using the Biolase products can be transferred over successfully to those using Hoya or Opus products.
THe ALD is a non brand specific agency, that emphasizes the safe use and educated use of lasers in dentistry. They are not so focussed on brands but more focussed on operators learning about basic laser science and physics in an environment that is not that heavy on sales (not so when you attend a companies sponsored educational symposium REGARDLESS of the company).
I for one enjoy the ALD meeting because it is an opportunity for me to see ALL lasers and I hope to get a good look at the Waterlase MD and other products this year. If you are a keener you can really do alot of homework here and your due diligence in finding out which wavelength and in the end which laser is the best for your practice.
Welcome Bigtooth and remember that this forum is less about which brand and more about sharing of information and ideal education in laser physics and science than many other areas on the net.
Its the university approach to education as opposed to the Pub type atmosphere found elsewhere on the net!
Both can have merit depending on what kind of mood you are in!!

bigtoothSpectatorThank you Glen and Rob for your responce. (this was my first post) This site has been great because of guys like you giving us new commers a no BS view point and oppinion. It not only has helped me to become a better dentist, but I also know my patients are getting better care due to the things I learn from all of you. I will do my best to contribute whenever I can.
