Dan MelkerSpectatorGlenn,
I stopped reading your post mid-way. There is a huge difference in blasting someone and trying to address appropriate Biologic concepts. I did not want you to blast anyone. Reread my posts, there is not a negative statement in any of them.
The problem is there needs to be a change in thinking on this board. Post cases and learn if there are mistakes so they are not repeated on patients. Remember we are dealing with patients.
I have made a ton of mistakes in 30 years. Alot trying to beat the BW. No matter what instrument is used scalpel, scissor or laser the BW does not care.
I am not going to sit back and ignore treatments that violate Biologic concepts. I want to make friends but I would rather have Dentists learn from my mistakes so they do not repeat them on patients.
Just because we have lasers does not mean we can ignore Biology.
Jeff’s case will be a great case for alot of people to learn from. I have got several e-mails from Laser users that said they did not realize changes that could occur over time with BW problems.
BW is not going away, wouldn’t be nice to address and learn how to deal with it.
You my friend are more interested in being everybodys buddy. That is great but I feel if we all could learn how to use the laser properly our patients would be the winners.
Tomorrow I will post the BIOLOGY of Altered Active Eruption and Altered Passive Eruption. This will exsplain why relapse occurs. This is not me this is BIOLOGY!
I would think this forum could be awesome if threads could be started and critiqued for the patients best interests.
Sorry that everytime I point something out that could help both the users of lasers and patients I have to apolgize. I was as professional as possible in my posts, yet you still miss the point.
I will continue to discuss Biology and someday those using lasers will be happy I did. They will not have to repeat procedures on their patients nor say that is a pretty good result.
I have been lecturing for 20 years and the desire is for Dentists to learn from my mistakes. I show alot of them particularly with BW. Wish I did not have to apologize every time I see a procedure that can be improved upon and I say so.

Dan MelkerSpectatorTe road to success is paved with failure-Glenn’s comment.
That is my point-why not learn from my failures.
Glenn the deal with the case was not treating the bone. You could have put in a million suturing and it would have changed nothing. You should relook at the case-you will learn something.
The problem with the case was not treating the BIOLOGIC WIDTH, that is it plain and simple.
You wear me out over how to talk and how to act. What about the patient.
By the way Jeff posted a recent case with the same procedure. Yes I private e-mailed him so it would not be a big deal.
Point is you and I really disagree on one point -THESE are PATIENTS and if proper trt. could be done why not do it.
I will be right unfortunately about cases that are ignoring the BW in their trt. This means the Patients lose.
Enough said.
Practice is great but not on patients when proper techniques are out there.
This should be a forum to learn lighten up when someone has something to say that is in the patients best interest.

Glenn van AsSpectatorDanny this will be my last post to you either Privately or publically in this forum until you buy a laser.
1. I appreciate your expertise in perio.
2. I agree with BW and what you have taught us here.
3. I am tiring of your outbursts and your last PM is ridiculous.
4. You have no idea of who I am, or what I intend to be so quit making remarks about what I am trying to do here. My conduct on this forum is not plasticized, it is how I treat people in real life.
5. I have learned alot about Biology from you and others, have altered alot of techniques that I was using for laser.
6. Lasers do far more than cut bone and tissue, and I am tiring on you constantly bashing them. Buy one, show some cases and I will respect you for it.
7. I actually dont agree with the way Jeff handled the case, it needed osseous and I asked this in my original post in a kind manner, as to me there is no need to be negative, although you are definitely pushing me to become so…….I am done with discussing these issues with you, I am committed to using lasers and microscopes in my practice and using them on teeth, tissue, endo and bone.
You will not discourage me from doing this. I have put your PM in the kill files and when you get a laser I will respect your knowledge about Perio even more.
After all, this is the laserdentistryforum…………
and we continue to search fro how to treat cases with the laser.
I am done.
Glenn
