Has anyone used the endo tip ( 300 micron of the DeLight ) to trough within the root of upper left central incisor . I did yesterday as i broke a titanium endo tip (Spartan #6 ) whilst removing a broken fibre post . As i had nothing fine enough to trough around the broken endo instr and i did not want to over widen the canal space i tried the 300 micron endo tip at 8x mag (microscope ) .Did it dry at 20 pps/50 mj . It worked but i had to be very careful not to break another instr within. Once the troughing was done it was a simple matter to vibrate the instr out with an EMS scaler fitted with an endo attachment (using a sise 20 Ni.Titanium end).
Was tickled pink as i only got my DeLight on Wed (26 may).
Does anyone out there think i am doing something dangerous . Any comments are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Good stuff Michael……I wouldnt cut dry to many times , and I have used the endo tips to work on calcified canals alot in the past.

In addition , with fiber posts and the scope your best bet is to just drill through them staying centered in the post.

There are new fiber post drill kits I have seen that basically heat up the fibers and removed them.

Keep an eye out for them. The scope and laser really are a great combination and keep sharing your experiences.

    Good for you.

    Hi Michael,

Very clever of you to use the endo tip to trough for the retrevial. Like Glenn says, it is probably better to use it wet to avoid a potential second broken instrument tip.

Good going. Post some photos if you can.

    Thanks for sharing.
