    hello,
Would anybody compare Lares ,Periolase and any other for soft tissues applications? Are all Nd Yag’s lasers pretty much give the same result?Would they treat both healthy and pathological tissues?

    Lana,

It depends on what you want to use the Laser for. I have a Periolase which I bought for treating Perio. There are many other applications for it. No other Laser will treat Perio like the Periolase does, so don’t be fooled by other companies if they imply their’s does what Periolase does. If you want to get a laser just to do soft tissue treatment there are many less expensive options, I recommend starting small and then expand.

If you are wnating to treat Perio, the Periolase IS the ONLY way to go.

    Lana, welcome to ldf!
Probably the biggest difference is the number of options the Periolase has when it comes to changing pulse duration. Without the longer options it does not allow you to always obtain a thermal clot which is critical in treating perio in a way in which you are not merely disinfecting or scoping goop out of pockets.
The other big difference is in the training you will receive. Periolase LANAP procedure is about alot more than just the laser wavelength and cost.

I called periolase to get some info and left a message ,but they did not return my call. Are they good with training and support at all?
How much do they sell it for anyway?
Do you know much about Lares laser ?How would you compare it with periolase?

There’s no comparison with Periolase. Again, Periolase is designed for treating Perio and it it great! The support adn training is superior, the best training I have ever had in any piece of equipment that I’ve bought. I was sceptical a first but once a rep came and did a presentation and I did a little homework, I was sold. The cost is aroudn &#3660K for it, don’t let that scare you away. They include training and much more for that. I bought mine a year ago and I have produced/collected enough to cover the investment. If you’re looking to treat Perio, BUY ONE! You won’t regret it.

What about Lares? They are saying ,that they at some point were building periolase, and pretty much can do the same tasks

There is ABSOLUTELY no way Lares can do what the Periolase does. Periolase is a laser designed specifically for treating Perio. There is a FDA patented protocol that must be followed to obtain the results. If someone from Lares or any other company is claiming that their system can do what Periolase does, then they are misleading you, and violating patent laws.
