I would like to report that we’ve now completed four years of service with our HOYA ConBio DELight Er:YAG dental laser. We use the unit every workday for procedures such as composite preparations, caries removal during crown preps, surgical extractions, biopsies, reflection of periosteal flaps for crown lengthening, treatment of apthous ulcerations, frenectomies, etc.

We have only had a single service call to repair a non-laser related electrical connection within the unit. The repair was completed during the original one year warranty period. Taking a chance, an extended service contract has never been purchased.

I still utilize the original optical fiber delivery system which came with the unit. The DELight ablates dental structures just as well today as it did when first delivered. We have always used distilled water for our irrigation system. Our only out of pocket costs have been laser tips.

Best thing is, our laser is paid off and still workin’ like a charm!!!!!!!!!!!
