My rep told me it is going for &#3670K but that he’d sell one to me for &#3665K. He told me the same as was posted earlier about depreciation. Basically, I’ve had my Waterlase for a year and to upgrade will cost me &#3628K.

The show price according to those on DT was 64,900 with no wiggle room. In addition there was the depreciation of 2000 for the first month and 1000 per month as mentioned.

i have the delight which already has the variable hz feature.

however, the feature with the new waterlase…which i hope that hoya will also add to their new version..which i really like is the fibreoptic to their handpiece. it is not as big a deal to me as i use a scope and you can’t get more light than that. but those without the light from a scope, it is very dark in there so this feature is beneficial.

the touchscreen i am not so keen on. it looks good, but i have had touchscreens before. they are hard to maintain and disinfect. and they tend to scratch up over time, and you need to be careful what agents you use to disinfect the screen as it may leak through the screen and burn it out. waterlase is trying to keep up with the look of the kavo laser…but sometimes too much tech makes it more of a hassle to use.

does anyone know if it is self calibrating or does it still need a technician to calibrate?

but it is great to see that waterlase has improved their existing model…hope hoya will follow with their new version, i’ll be all over that one!

Questions questions! The MD is a very interesting machine. Now that it is out, I can let you guys know I have had the beta software in my Waterlase for over 2 years now. I have mulitple hz settings ranging from 5hz-30hz. It really is nice. Glenn, I have learned alot from you over the last year or so, and I thank you.

The MD is an awesome machine, and the variations you can do with it is incredible. I have to hand it to Biolase, the new standard if here. Multiple Hz rates are really nice, on hard OR soft tissue. I agree with previous statements though made by others…THE PHYSICS IS MOST IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND! Take the time to learn it. I feel that without the teaching that Glenn, Bob Gregg, Ron, and others has taught me, has MADE ME what I am today with my Waterlase. Thank you gentlemen! Let’s lase on!

Thanks Mark, I am sure the 30 Hz helps you with the veneer and crown preps you do.

I am off to LVI to lecture, its nice that you think I have helped in some manner because I know that several of you have given me LOTS of information to try out.

I am presently working on something with some minor correlation to laser dentistry with a company that will blow peoples mind when they see it.

Cant tell you too much now but this week has been alot of fun. Its not really lasers but can be used there and I think it will be revolutionary for certain procedures when it becomes available.

It was a great week, off to LVI and talk to you all next week. Lasers are really taking off, 7 cities I will be in during the next 7 weeks in 3 countries including Australia which I am looking forward too. If you are in one of those venues shake my hand and give me a chance to put a face to a name.

All the best , chat again next week.

PS Mark the laser does look cool and I do hope all the bugs on the machine are all worked out. Gosh its tough working with NDA (Non disclosure agreements ) isnt it. You want to tell others what is going on but cant.

Neat stuff……..til next week thanks for the kind remarks and remember, if I know anything it comes from
    1. Seeing things at 16X power
    2. Learning from Bob Gregg and others about laser physics and science.
    3. 5 years of making alot of mistakes……..
    4. YOU.

Can anyone tell me if the tips are the same as the standard Waterlase?
There was a mention above about the tips being color coded.
