2thlaserSpectatorHey everyone,
I had the great opportunity to lecture with Kelly Blodgett this past weekend in Calgary. He was great, excellent content, and his cases, as you all have seen here, are exemplary. Clap, Clap, Clap, well done Kelly!
Welcome to the lecture grind!Mark
Glenn van AsSpectatorI talked by email this week with someone who was there who said it was a great course…….my spies are out since I cant get into any of the lectures anymore.
Mark when you come out to Vancouver , you tell the Biolase rep you want me to come……..
Glenn
kellyjblodgettdmdSpectatorThanks, Mark. I would have loved to have seen this thread earlier – I guess I don’t get off the Erbium and Soft tissue sections enough. I really appreciate the compliments.
You know, I thought there was a guy who looked like he was wearing a fake moustache at that lecture – Glenn, are you sure you weren’t spying!?! Just kidding, of course. It’s too bad that all this company competition goes on. It really intereferes with new and potential laser users being able to understand the basic physics of laser dentistry. Too much hype!
Glenn – If I ever get to do a lecture in Vancouver, I’ll be sure to give you a call. By the way, I’m having a GREAT time with my scope! I’m still working on getting better image quality with my attached Coolpix camera. I may need to pick your brain if I can’t figure out the coloring.Talk to you soon.
Kelly
Glenn van AsSpectatorKelly have you whitebalanced the camera (you need to custom white balance the camera with a grey card (kodak) or simpler yet a very white piece of paper.
Then use that custom white balance as your white balance mode.
For more information on microscope settings read this web page and look at the articles. ITs very very informative.
Glenn
kellyjblodgettdmdSpectatorThanks, Glenn. I’ll check this site out over the weekend. Unfortunately, we are all iced in in Portland, OR right now. I was off from the 22nd of Dec. til the 5th of Jan., and now I can’t go play with my lasers and scope due to this darned ice! I think I’m actually having laser withdrawls.
Talk to you soon.
Kelly
Glenn van AsSpectatorGood for you Kelly, take care and again thanks for all your recent information on Betadine.
Hope you get all thawed out , maybe you should take your diode out there and melt the snow and ice!!!
You couldnt use the waterlase because it doesnt give off any heat (GRIN).
