    Hi all,

Been hearing from lots of new Periolase owners so I thought I’d help those who are trained and waiting for their Periolase get a little more excited [if that were possible smile.gif]!

This week I saw a pt (36 y/o white male/smoker) who we treated (left side in 8/03). Pt wanted to wait for new insurance year to do other side. January came and went and patient missed appointment. Patient presented this last Tuesday for left side treatment. 4/03 charting w/o anesthesia (sorry meant to pull up the 8/03)

Still amazed at the results on original Tx. Patient hadn’t been in for prophy or any dental work in the last 9 months. Patient still smoking. 3rd’s will be gonners in the future (large enamel pearl? lingual on 16-should have ground off).

Looking forward to seeing some new Periolase owners post cases in the future!

    Ron,
Congratulations! It’s hard to treat patients w/ PerioLase LANAP, then have to be be patient, wait for healing, 6-9 months before getting the results from probing. Then patients don’t cooperate.
I hope new users see from cases like this that reproducable healing/new attachment does occur.
I was out in Cerritos last week to audit Boot Camp (to see what has changed in the way of training in the last 5 years) There were 6 new users. 4 new trainers in attendance. I’m going back out next month to conduct the training.
Of the 6 new users 4 already had Erbium lasers. Shows the need for different wavelengths for different procedures.
Bob and Glenn are in Washington, DC today for the DC Dental Meeting. Saw Glenn today he had wonderful videos of his use of the Erbium for crown and bridge tissue preps, Ortho exposure of unerupted teeth, etc.
Exciting times in the world of dental lasers.
Ron, Thanks for the case results and the forum to share these ideas.

    Ditto Jeff,

Glenn and I lifted a drink (or 3rock.gif) last night to toast Ron and this forum.

I’m at my 20th Georgetown reunion and seeing old classmates and new laser friends is great.

Wow……..isnt the internet awesome. I met some great friends this weekend in DC and just got back home after a 16 hour marathon session. Its 4:30 am in the morning EST, and I have slept 1 hr.

I wanted to say thanks to Jeff for coming by and sharing some time. There are some exciting times for him in the laser world and in his practice and I wish him all the success.

I also had dinner Friday night with Bob Gregg and Arturo Garcia amongst others with the Global crew.

Lots of jokes (TA DA!!) and laughs and Bob was extolling all lasers to some of the people there.

One of the best things about my last 5+ years in lasers and scopes was meeting people from this forum, people like Bob and Jeff who share the desire to be thinking a little out of the box.

We have different lasers in our practice but we share a common bond of wanting to learn. That is why this forum works, and why friendships with Bob, Jeff and so many others from the scope world and laser world get formed and remain strong throughout the years.

Thanks to Jeff, Bob, and others that I ran into this weekend and all the best to everyone as the summer season starts (Gosh it was sweltering in DC……90+ each day!!)

Back to civilization and finishing my darn erbium chapter.

    Tomorrow.

    Cya

    Glenn
