2thlaserSpectatorHere is a case I did a few months back, don’t know if I posted it or not, BUT with Glenn’s help, and new software, that he helped me with, I now can post “almost” as nice as Glenn! Thanks Glenn for the help!! I am most grateful. I have a ways to go to learn the software, but I like the format of his posts…so I am a copycat…!
Whaddya all think?
Mark
ASISpectatorHi Mark,
Very nicely done. I would love to have a close up of the prep, Mark. Is that Photoslate 3.0?
Glenn is such an inspiration to all. He’s like the Tony Robbins of Laser & Microscopic Dentistry.
Oops! I hope I didn’t plan a seed in his head. Another project for Glenn to work on….
Andrew
Glenn van AsSpectatorThanks Andrew……..man you guys crack me up. Andrew please contact me next week ok…..I have something I want to show you with respect to the scopes.
I am off to Scottsdale this week to lecture at the Congress of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry, so talk to me next week.
Mark , you little scoundrel………WOW and after my disjointed emails you got it to look like that ……..
AWESOME.
I have often thought it would be great to make a coffee table book out of these 1 page collages like you posted.
What a neat veneer case…….You know what I would do is post that to Dental town but just post the before and after……..
THEN POST THE PREP DONE WITH THE LASER AFTERWARDS…….people will be shocked.
Neat neat neat case and really really well documented and presented…….
A Standing CLAP CLAP CLAP.
I really mean that ……its a cool program.
Thanks for posting and you guys made me blush. Hey if I can help one person then I have succeeded and to have helped two in one day is a real honour.
Thanks guys……gonna sleep well tonight.

drnewittSpectatorHi Mark
Nice case, what are the details of treatment? How long did it take you to do that prep and did you use anesthesia for that one?

Hi Mark
Nice case, what are the details of treatment? How long did it take you to do that prep and did you use anesthesia for that one?Paul,
No anesthesia, took about 5 minutes, start with defocused anesthesia technique, 5.5W 60%air/30%water for 90 sec ~10mm from target surface, (buccal), then lower wattage to 4W, keeping air/water the same.
Once I start to establish margination, I drop to 1.25w 40%air, 22%water, with quicker tip movements to create a smooth margin. It’s important to remember that during crown/veneer preparation with a laser, that the speed of tip movement will really direct how fast you prep, or how smooth you prep, etc….I have a DVD coming out to show this. It’s real fun to do. Another paragdigm shift!Mark
kellyjblodgettdmdSpectatorMark – Beautiful case! Doing a veneer like this is such a great service to the patient, but it is an incredible service when they don’t get shots!!! I did a veneer like this a few months ago and I’m still kicking myself for not taking an “after laser prep” shot.
The patient sure was happy not to have to be anesthetized . Great job, Mark. I love the documentation.
I guess I’ll be seeing you in a week and a half in Calgary. I’m looking forward to getting together with you up there. Keep up the great work!
Kelly
SwpmnSpectatorMark somehow I missed your thread. That sure is a nice case.
Can think of some folks out there that really need to see how your technique has been refined;)

Stewart RosenbergSpectatorHi Mark,
Great case, as usual!
Meanwhile we missed you at my course this weekend. Thank God for Ron, Bob Henkel and Tim Driscoll and all their help. I lost my voice on FRiday and would have been dead without them. Your bowling ball inscription was a hit. People wanted to know more about that than how to do a crown prep. ( Just kidding)
Stu
dkimmelSpectatorMark, Nice job. When is that DVD coming out? The sound track is by the Hydrokintics , I hope! You will have a section on Bowling balls , etc ?
DAvid
Glenn van AsSpectatorCool stuff Mark a DVD huh……….gotta love it. Gosh with the spoons and DVD you should be able to retire soon. What age is the seniors bowling tour start??

Glenn
2thlaserSpectatorGlenn,
You kill me! Haa! Too bad I love what I do, because I probably will never retire! It’s just too much darn fun, lasers, magnification, patient satisfaction..hmmm, do I sense a theme here? You guys are all to generous, thanks.Al, thanks for the nice words! Stu, I am jealous as usual, a great course for all! Get me some more material to laser!
Have a great thanksgiving all!
Mark
