i have the DeLight laser and i love it. now, i keep reading that you guys are using just topical for many soft tissue procedures. i like to know what everyone is using, how you use it, how well it works and if it needs to be specially made or ordered.

    thanks everyone

    Dave,

Tac–20% Alternative is awesome. Place it in a syringe with a brush end, and you can do anything. I get mine from Professional Arts Pharmacy (I get no free anything from anybody) at 1-888-237-4737. It contains 20% lidocaine, 4% tetracaine, and 2% phenyephrine. Good stuff!!

I am biased as I have codeveloped DRKLIQUID available from Whites Pharmacy in Louisianna 318 621 2005…ask for Doug..advantages over tac 20 are as follows….It is aliquid…It is absorbed very fast and nothing to wipe off…The liquid comes in three flavors, chocolate, mint and cherry….The biggest problem I hear from my pharmacist with Tac 20 is with 20% lidocaine in there u begin to encroach on possible systemic affects…The drkliquid is very simialr in compositon and there is only 10% lido…which according to the literature , there is no improvemnt in affect after 10% just potential systemic effects…Good luck whichever u choose both will numb up well….

OK, Ron, I gotta know …

Is “drkliquid” pronounced “Dark Liquid” or “D-R-K-liquid”? I’ve wondered about that with every mention …

(hey, it’s my day off … I can think about stupid things.)

    Dave,

I use the Tac alternative on everyone–young and old alike. the lido at 20% has never been an issue. Since I always have to tell people that I have nothing that tastes worth a darn, and this stuff, while very effective is not tasty. I now will have to order some drkliquid in one the three flavors to try.

It is pronounced D R K Liquid…..Moss….Be caredul…My rep said one of his Docs saw a reaction with the Tac 20….The DDS called 911 was pretty scary…While it may be isolated it is possible…

    Ron,

Thanks for the input. All it takes is 1 time for a bad experience to last a lifetime. I’m gonna check out Doug at White’s and get some D R K liquid. I’m also going to talk to the people here in Lafayette that make up the TAC 20% gel and tell them of the systemic concerns.

It’s great to come here and always learn something.

    MOss,
The same composition is available in a gel as my hygienists use it as a gel and we use it as a liquid…Try it and let me know what u think…

    Ron,

I tried to call the number that you listed, and a recording comes on saying that the number has been disconnected. I can find it if you can get me the city White’s is located.

    Much appreciated,

    Sam
