I was down at the office doing some planning for the new year and — The big white delivery truck brought my MD today.

Of course I unboxed it. A little disappointed there was not a good looking model in the box as well. I mean they had them at the booth so I thought it was part of the package. Must be an extra item. Just as well. Susan was at the office and would have made me send her back.
Now I just have to wait til the tech comes to do the install.
Great way to start the new year.

That’s cool. Let us know what you think of the improved delivery system and variable pulse rate/duration.

Will tips from the Waterlase “Classic” fit on the WaterlaseMD?

    Al,
The MD is an incredible machine, and not only the variable hz, but the soft/hard tissue settings make life easy. The tips are NOT interchangeable, the MD has plastic “hubs”, and the air/water mix is IN the handpiece vs. at the tip in the WL. Therefore the different hubs due to the fact the water/air mix.
You ought to go to Kimmel’s and see it, it’s neat! Happy New Year to you Al!

    All my best,

    Al,
I’ll be up at the office most of Friday. Give me a call and come on up. I couldn’t wait and set the unit up myself. Biolase did a great job on this one. Some of the issues of making sure you have the handpiece are gone as well as having the tip fully seated. One hugh difference is the water delivery. It is far different and much better. I’ll try and take some photo’s tomorrow. I did not get to do much more then fire it up and paint on my hand but I am impressed. It is also quiter then the waterlase big time.
    Mark thanks for the pointers.

    Dave,
Any chance of bringing the MD to our next Hooter’s meeting?!?!? Do the handpieces have mirrors in them and do you have to avoid amalgam? The lighted handpiece looks cool!

I got my MD unit delivered on Monday, and left it in the box, then on Tuesday I evidently burned out my first fiber trunk. Just itching to open that (not as big) box and run the new MD, but guess i will wait. I may not get my setup and training until after the San Diego meeting, unfortunately.

Read section4 of your owners manuel. I just could not wait. Flemming couldn’t wait either. Pretty much fool proof.
    The MD has been great.
