Has a built in Diode.
There is no trunk fiber for the Er.. The cable is for water and air only. The laser is in the handpiece.. I have no ideal how they can do that one!!Very interesting!

I wrestle with this, after all ,years are spent building up your good name and reputation, why remove it from the practice name? What has been your experience?Robert

cadavisSpectatorThere was a vendor at the Tucson meeting earlier this year that had an NdYag lab laser. They demonstrated fusing two pieces of metal together with a tiny weld. It was pretty impressive.
He claimed that if you place a file down the canal and touched the broken file tip, then hit it with the NdYag, they would fuse together and you could pull it all out as one piece. Very interesting prospect for those of us doing endo.
I don’t break files every day, but it would sure be nice to have such an easy way to get them out on those rare occasions that I do.Chris Davis

dmd92eastSpectatorThere are a couple of used “demo” units claiming to be from the ADA meeting being sold by a CME company on eBay. Given the reliability and “workhorse” nature of this laser, would you feel it is a safe bet to buy one of these units and possibly save 10 large? What would be your concerns if any?
Nick LuizziSpectatorIf it came with a premium Hoya warranty, I would do it. Call the factory rep out to go through the settings. Check the hallow wave guide for damage. I have the Delight, which has a jack to plug into air compressor. If that is jacked into a water outlet by accident it will void the warranty. I don’t know if the Versawave has solved that, but if you can be assured that any damage will be covered by the factory, It’s a potential good deal. But I would think you could do alittle better than 10K off retail in this situation. Nick Luizzi

We give credit to some, but perhaps not the first to accomplish this amazing and daunting task. Reading this one will give you a whole new appreciation for what we now use in our everyday lives.

cadavisSpectatorI have the Sirolase 980nm diode which came with two heavy metal handpieces. I guess they have to be heavy duty because the finger activated switch is mounted to them. I think I would prefer to use the foot switch if I could get an alternate lightweight handpiece. Can anyone recommend a place to purchase one?
