    Hi David,

Great ad for the public. It should draw. How often is it running?

Got to get that scope to stop torquing your spine. It also helps in not showing your follicular challenged scalp.

Was the patient talking after the appointment with the left side still frozen or is she lopsided normally?

    Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks all.
Andrew yep I need the scope!!!!! That or a hat…
The patient was numb as we did the procedure that day. The dropped in on the way to New Orleans before Katrina… We had no idea what he was going to ask. We had no input or had no idea if or when it would run.

It was run on cable news as a health segment through out the state and not just our local area. Through the grape vine we found out our location was a problem with getting picked up by the major networks. The only reason we got on cable was a patient pulled a favor……

So to answer your question. No it is not an ad but only run 5 times as a news spot.

As far as marketing this is really not a good ideal. Well sort of. The problem is the phone rings off the hook for several days…….. These are calls that you just can not spend 2 min on some Susan spent 30 + min. on… Then again my new patient exams are booked til mid Nov…
Again not ideal as we try to book someone in 2 weeks when they call.

Glenn you are so right— Katie should have done the interview…..

It will be interesting next week at the local dental meeting. We had three patients who just had perio sx and had not even had the sutured removed… They where not going back for the rest of the surgery but coming to see me instead… I just cannot wait to sit at the table and have dinner with these guys!!!!

I just had a letter handed to me stating that pediatricians in my area are doing laser hair removal and eliminating small vascular abnormalities in patients and family members(Sciton Profile laser). So when mom comes in with little Johnny, she gets her spider veins removed. Any reason we shouldn’t do this? (Any reason except, our malpractice coverage, lawyers, and the fact is that we are DENTISTS). My staff would love me to do this and so would my patients. I suspect there are a heap of liers for hire(lawyer , that is) that want us to do this.
Is anyone out there doing this? Inquisitive minds want to know.

I have heard that there are some really weird dentists around here using Er:YAG lasers to remove skin lesions like scars or even tissue tags in unmentionable areas. But they are only doing it on friends, staff or families of staff and not charging. I have no idea who those dentists might be;)

Its just a 2.5W version of the original without some of the bells and whistles. The original version had 6w and a power meter measuring capabilities (calibration port) so this is just an attempt to compete with the lower end price wise diodes such as the Odyssey, Zap, Diolase etc.

I ask anyone who is considering a diode laser and is on a budget to look at the options out there listed above.

They all are solid options and can make a big difference to the practice and the bottom line.

I use my diodes each and every day.
