I heard a rumor that AMD will have a new Erbium and will undercut the market like they did with the diode.

    Is this true?

Rumor I heard was that a certain laser company that’s been hinting of something new and low cost will have a box at upcoming shows. I’d ask to see the insides and see it work.

    Hi Guys
Many detractors of laser use for the treatment of perio disease quote the “AAP Statement on the Efficacy of Lasers in the
Non-surgical Treatment of Inflammatory Periodontal Disease”

How do you guys reply to that?
    Thanks very much

A bit of controversy? Those people will never get what they deserve in my opinion.

How is anyone using the PerioLase as a hygiene adjunct? My hygienist does a lot of Arestin for isolated pocket areas. Is there something she or I could do with the PerioLase in these areas, without having to anesthetize?

Have you considered posting on the Periolase thread?

I don’t see a specific Periolase thread. Where would I find it?
    Thanks

This is in the sticky at the top of this forum and titled update for Evolution 6. After reading this thread the last post date was 2009.

I would recommend removing it from the sticky tag or give an update 🙂

Personally I am sure the cost was a huge factor in limited interest. I understand the cost of patients for sure. Me personally I think it would be more beneficial just to have tons of class time and a much reduced cost.

For me I would rather have class time.

Ok so now you have a post in 2011 on this thread.

I have a patient with partial numbness upper lip, right ala, tip of nose and right infraorbital area. (terminus of the 2nd division of the trigeminal nerve). I have used my NdYAG on the extraoral biostim setting (650us, 300mJ, 20Hz, 6W) on four occasions for 2500J each session withnot much change.
Is this not enough energy at a given session (more like 5000J or 10000J needed)?
Is four sessions not enough to begin to notice some change?
Or is this not an appropriate use for this laser?

    Hi

I want to buy a diode laser. On what must I base my decision between 810nm or 980nm laser . What is the difference between these two lasers.

    Thanks
